Anthony Sgro is the founder and managing partner of A.S. Advisory Corp. with over 20 years of professional experience as finance and accounting executive, supporting companies and investors both on the deal side and as a post transaction operator, implementing synergies and restructuring initiatives. He has held various senior consulting and corporate roles, both in the US and in Europe and has built a unique reputation for successfully executing on complex M&A transactions and consulting engagements, worldwide, meeting the high expectations of investors, senior management, boards, and regulators.
Current and past consulting engagements include the following clients: Wells Fargo Capital Finance, State Street Bank Corp., BNP Paribas, Gruppo Bancario Icrea (Rome, Italy), DebtX, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, and the United Nations.
Prior to founding A.S. Advisory Corp., Anthony held senior management and consulting roles at KPMG LLP; Santander Holdings, USA; Electronic Data Systems Corporation (Hewlett Packard Corp.); and Permasteelisa Cladding USA (an Italian multinational in the steel manufacturing sector).
Anthony has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics & Finance from Bentley University and a Masters in Business Administration from Suffolk University, having also completed master level courses at Bocconi University, in Milan, Italy. He has served as an adjunct professor of corporate finance at Bentley University and has been quoted as an expert in financial and entrepreneurship topics in US and European radio programs, newspapers and magazines. He is an active member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the VC and Private Equity associations in Boston, New York City, and Miami.
